 Arc Ridge Ranch has a storied history and is part of the fabric of Van Zandt County, Texas.  Originally established as a part of a 1200 acre ranch owned by a local doctor who had a heart for serving Boy Scouts of America.  He carved out a 300 acre area, now known as Arc Ridge Ranch Resort, to facilitate hosting Boy Scouts.  The doctor established trails throughout the property, built primitive cabins, and an outdoor gathering area known at the time as Boy Scout Pavilion.  Eventually the ranch was sold to a Dallas oilman who settled in the area and made a huge impact on Ben Wheeler and on the ranch.  He revitalized downtown Ben Wheeler and upgraded the cabins on the ranch. 

 Then in 2021 the current owners bought Arc Ridge Ranch and renamed it Arc Ridge Ranch Resort with a plan to share it with others.  Over the last few years there’s been extensive work and planning to develop a place where individuals, families, and groups can come Relax, Recreate, and Renew in well appointed cabins on a 20 acre private lake in a natural setting all while watching the goings on of a working cattle ranch which includes Texas Longhorns!  In its current state, Arc Ridge Ranch Resort is a total of 300 acres with 100 acres dedicated to cattle ranching.  The remaining 200 acres has hiking trails throughout with 4 available cabins for short term rental, all on or near the 20 acre lake which is teeming with large mouth bass and various sunfish.  There is a large-outdoor family activity area with sand volleyball, horseshoes, cornhole, tetherball, and a swing set and sandbox for our younger guests.   

 The purpose of Arc Ridge Ranch Resort is to provide facilities and activities in a setting where people can truly Relax, Recreate, and Renew in God’s creation while making lifelong memories.  As the current stewards of the Ranch we feel blessed; and we want to share that blessing with others.  We hope and pray that each and every person who visits the ranch experiences something special from this special place.
